Lyle LeBlanc DESIGN specializes in custom residential design, log structures, commercial interior design, and project management.  Past residential projects have ranged in size from small second homes to large-scale estates, and commercial work has included retail boutiques and lodges for the eco-tourism industry.  The owners each bring a different set of skills and knowledge to the firm, and enjoy working on projects that employ alternative construction methods that emphasize energy efficiency, durability and sustainability.

The current office and log show house is located just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana in Ascension Parish. Tours are available by appointment; see our contact information tab below.

About the owners...

Lyle LeBlanc, Louisiana Registered Interior Designer
Lyle is a graduate of Louisiana State University College of Design.  His professional experience began in 1994 working for several New Orleans architects that specialize in both commercial and high-end residential design.  In 2004, Lyle moved to California and began his namesake practice where he gained a thorough knowledge of log structure design after working on more than a dozen log projects.

Lyle is a Louisiana registered Interior Designer and a member of NCIDQ since 1999.  In addition, he is also LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council meaning that he has demonstrated a knowledge of understanding of green building practices and principles, resources, and processes, and has the capacity to facilitate the LEED building certification process.

Tom Van Waardenburg, Log Home Construction & Finish Specialist
Tom is a native of Los Angeles with a background in residential construction and project management.  Having worked for a decade for Home Depot as a regional trainer and sales associate has given Tom a comprehensive understanding of a large variety of both rough construction and finish materials and installation methods.  In addition, Tom has developed a thorough working knowledge of log home construction. He consults closely with the log yard and your general contractor to ensure that proper building techniques are used no matter what level of log construction experience your home builder may have.

Tom is also a manufacturer representative of Perma-Chink Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of high quality wood finish, care and maintenance products.  Tom can assist homeowners with choosing the best finish for log and wood sided structures, as well as consultant with homeowners wanting to refurbish their existing home.
